Full support of the new RSS "PERSON" Tag
Podcast Addict now supports the new Podcast Index "PERSON" tag. This tag allows podcasters to provide a list of people working on the podcast as well as the guest list for episodes.
When available, the app will display this information and allow you to tap on the person's picture to quickly access their bio and to quickly find other podcasts that this person has been invited to.
As this is a brand new tag, very few podcast support this yet, but hopefully that will change soon.
Full support of the new RSS "LOCATION" Tag
Podcast Addict now supports the new Podcast Index "LOCATION" tag. This tag allows podcasters to provide a location in the podcast and episodes descriptions.
When available, the app will show a link with the location name and pressing on the link will open the location in Google Maps.
In a future version this will also allow you to access other episodes related to the same location.
This can be useful for travel podcasts for example, but also if the podcaster wants to add the recording location, allowing you to find local podcasts.
As this is a brand new tag, very few podcast support this yet, but hopefully that will change soon.
Playlist Autoplay toggle
You will now find a toggle on the playlist screen that allows you to quickly enable/disable the Autoplay mode.
The toggle is enabled by default so there's no change in the playlist behavior until you disable the Autoplay.
You can disable this toggle display in Settings/Playlist.
Misc.
- New setting if you want the app to automatically download the last X episodes when you subscribe to a podcast (Settings/Download/When subscribing)
- Chapter images are now displayed on Android Auto
- Improved Chapter extraction from episode shownotes
Bug fixes
- Bug preventing some Radio stations from playing
- Display bug in the Statistics screen when changing month
- Minor fixes.
