Technical update
The app now targets Android 14 (API level 34), as mandated by Google. This update ensures compatibility with the latest Android security features, performance optimizations, and platform restrictions. While most users won't notice any immediate changes, this update is crucial for maintaining the app\’s long-term functionality and access to the Google Play Store.
Minor Improvements
- Show total playback progress in the virtual podcast description screen. This feature is especially useful for audiobooks.
- Some users have rated the app 1 star due to log files in the app folder. Although I don’t have access to your device or these files, you can now disable this logging in Settings/Feedback if you prefer.
Bug fixes
- The spinning player screen transition experienced by some users is due to a ROM bug. Restarting the device will resolve the issue.
- In some cases, existing virtual podcast artwork could be overwritten when a new virtual podcast was added.
- Resolved an issue where cancelling downloads could take up to 40 seconds to be effective, improving immediate retries functionality.
- The Boost Audio toggle for radio wasn't displaying the correct status.
- Minor fixes.
