Podcast Addict v2024.8
Changelog - April 20, 2024
Backtrack Playback
This new setting modifies the default playback behavior. Normally, the app plays episodes in your playlist sequentially from the current episode downwards until the end of the list is reached. At this point, playback traditionally stops, even if there are still episodes left unplayed at the beginning of the playlist.
The existing setting, "Play from the Top," overrides this by ensuring the app always returns to the first episode in the list after the current one ends, which is especially useful when sorting episodes by priority.
With "Backtrack Playback" enabled, once the last episode in the playlist finishes, if there is an episode before it, the app will automatically switch to and start playing that previous episode. This process continues, moving backwards through the playlist. This setting is not used if "Play from the Top" is active.
Minor Improvements
- Minor performance improvements across the app.

- Addressed an issue in the playback history screen where playback date information was not displayed temporarily.
- Fixed an issue where the duration/remaining time displayed on the player screen inaccurately reflected the playback speed even when this feature was disabled.
