Guest Bio Josh Varghese is passionate about technology. Yes, passionate. He compares datasheets like baseball cards, can rattle off networking acronyms like rap lyrics, and listens to ICS security podcasts (yes, there are multiple) in his car. Josh established Traceroute in November 2017 to bring his passion, extensive industrial networking experience, and specialized skillset to the underserved, growing and evolving industrial/OT market. Before starting his own company, Josh was technical lead at Industrial Networking Solutions for almost ten years, where he built the technical support and application engineering department. In that role, Josh was able to work with an impressive list of clients and vendors on a wide range of projects that give him unique insight into the industrial/OT market. Josh also served on multiple vendor advisory councils and worked closely with numerous vendors to provide product feedback and advocate for customer solutions, and he continues many of those relationships at Traceroute. Before joining Industrial Networking Solutions, Josh was an instrumentation and control specialist at Camp Dresser and McKee (now CDM Smith). He designed and implemented SCADA systems for municipal water customers, including several he still works with today. Josh has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from The University of Texas and holds multiple networking and vendor certifications. When he’s not working, he spends every moment he can with his wife and three young kids.
