King Saul was insecure and paranoid and became consumed with jealousy and anger towards David. The once humble, reluctant king was now aggressively trying to defend his throne from any perceived threats. Saul became jealous of David's popularity, David's success, and David's relationship with the Lord. As we open our Bible for today's study, let's also open our hearts to examine whether any jealousy or anger exists within us as well.
