Sometimes the difference between bad news and good news is which side of the news you're on. Such was the case when Nahum prophecies the fall of Nineveh and Assyria. If you had been violent, oppressive, and abusive, the coming of the King of Kings is a bad day. However, if you were among the crushed, the oppressed, the exploited, and pummeled? Delivery is GOOD NEWS! GREAT NEWS!! And such is the case with those who now await the advent of King of Kings.
"But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body."
— Philippians 3:20–21 (NIV)
