When you’re sent to do something you feel unqualified for it can be overwhelming, frustrating, or straight-up terrifying. No one likes to go into something sure of their inevitable failure! In the Bible we can see that Jesus has called us as followers of Him to make and multiply disciples. To go into the world as witnesses of His Gospel. To represent the values of His Kingdom as ambassadors of reconciliation. We don’t always feel qualified for this, but that is why God has gifted His Church with the tools needed to equip you for the work He calls you to!

In Acts 13 we see Saul and Barnabas sent out on the mission they had been called to. It wasn’t going to be easy, but they were obedient and went, having been equipped by the church, called by God, and filled with the Holy Spirit. As a church we have the wonderful privilege of sending out into the mission field some who we have had a role in equipping this weekend. We send them out on the same mission we are on as a church, and excitedly watch to join into the celebration of fruit, and encourage them along the way.

Come be a part with us this Sunday at 8am or 11am as we study the word, and commission Luke and Sara Worden as missionaries sent from MBC!
