Western Heat Wave for Labor Day Weekend - Another dangerous heat wave is forecast for the Desert Southwest and much of California starting Friday and lasting through the Labor Day holiday weekend. In some cases, the high temperatures are forecast to be as much as 20 to 25 degrees above normal. Dozens of record high maximum and high minimum temperatures may be tied or broken. Excessive Heat Warnings have been issued.
