Unsettled in the Northwest; Above Normal Temperatures for Much of the Country - A low pressure system will bring widespread gusty winds, rain, and mountain snow to the Pacific Northwest and northern Rockies, before spreading into the Plains and Upper Mississippi Valley by Wednesday. Meanwhile, warmer than normal temperatures will continue across much of the nation, especially in the Southwest and southern Plains. Cooler air will return to many locales late in the week.
