This week Patrick Poe interviews Kansas City filmmaker Patrick Rea!

Patrick Rea is a prolific, award-winning independent filmmaker recognized for his innovative storytelling and creative directing style in horror and suspense. His feature film, "Nailbiter", won Best Director and/or Best Feature Film awards in several film festivals in 2012, and" was released through Lionsgate Home Entertainment. His latest horror feature "Arbor Demon" (formally "Enclosure") starring Fiona Dourif and Jake Busey had its World Premiere at FrightFest in the UK and is currently available on platforms such as Redbox On Demand, Amazon, iTunes, Vudu. He has co-written and directed episodes of CBS's Daytime Emmy Winning show "The Inspectors." Rea's recent feature, the family drama, "Belong to Us" was released on DVD in Walmart nationwide and on Video on Demand. His current horror feature, "I Am Lisa" is set to release on Redbox January 5th 2021.

In this episode they discuss the benefits of making short films even amid feature successes, navigating film distribution, working on episodic television and the difficulties they've faced during this pandemic.
