African American women have played a crucial role in the development of the ride-share industry, with many of them working as drivers for popular companies like Uber and Lyft. However, safety remains a major concern for women who use these services, especially at night or when traveling alone. In response to this issue, a group of African American women entrepreneurs have created the first ride-share service designed specifically for women's safety. Jillian Anderson and DeVynne Starks launched the platform to democratize transportation tech for women.
