Leonie chats about the Nyngan and District Museum. The Museum is housed in the heritage listed Railway Station. “The 1990 Flood destroyed many historical items and personal belongings of the Nyngan townspeople so the Museum was established to gather and preserve historical data and artefacts for future generations.”

Nyngan is located on the Bogan River in Western NSW. Between Narromine and Bourke, on the junction of the Mitchell Highway and Barrier Highway these inland roads are part of heritage and explorer trails including the the many rivers and creeks of Bogan Shire, the Gunningbar Creek, the Duck, the Marra, Macquarie Marshes and the Bogan.
