Have you ever found yourself constantly trying to keep the peace, avoiding conflict, or prioritizing others’ needs at the expense of your own? While these behaviors may seem like acts of kindness or love, they often stem from a deeper trauma response called the fawn response. In today’s episode, we’re exploring the fawn response from a nervous system perspective—what it is, why it happens, and how it impacts our emotional, relational, and spiritual health. Together, we’ll uncover how this response, rooted in fear, can lead to patterns of people-pleasing that drain our energy and distort our sense of identity. Most importantly, we’ll discuss how God’s truth and grace can empower us to break free from this cycle and embrace the freedom He intends for us.
Rooting for you,
Jessica
