And the heart of the plant is left to rot in the fields. And then, one day, a Peace Corps volunteer thought, Isn’t that the stuff they use to make Tequila? Yeah, you and I both know the problem with that thought — but you can get caught up in the rhetoric or you can get excited about this unique solution in a country plagued by drought and poverty.
