In the beginning it's easy to just say what sounds good to please your spouse and get to an end result that you both want, but that isn't always the best option. Wants, needs, and situations change and it's very important that you both acknowledge that and are able to be open with each other so that you stay on the same page and don't end up in a nasty cycle leading to burnout and frustration with one another.
