Michael Batt, LVO, is an English singer-songwriter, musician, arranger, record producer, director, and conductor. He was formerly the Deputy Chairman of the British Phonographic Industry.
Amongst Batt's many notable contributions to music, are the creation of The Wombles pop act, the writing of era defining songs like 'Bright Eyes', and introducing and mentoring Katie Melua and Vanessa Mae.
His memoir, The Closest Thing to Crazy: My Life of Musical Adventures, is released on September 26th, via Nine Eight Books.
