COVID-19 has shown how different issues are connected, and how one injustice exposed another. This episode covers the global pandemic and its gendered implications on access to justice. We speak to Tinatswe Mhaka who is the founder of Feminist Voices Zimbabwe, and a women’s rights lawyer. Her focus is digital storytelling and community outreach in order to tackle access to justice for women in Zimbabwe. In this episode, we cover how government response to COVID-19 has affected access to justice for women, the connections between state violence and sexual violence, and how the economic instability has left children vulnerable.
