This week, Shawn P Neal talks to Renée Dieffenderfer. In 2012, her father passed away from cancer, 9 months before she was diagnosed with her own cancer, Hodgkins Lymphoma. During that time, she
found her inner artist who gave her joy, peace, and strength. She chose watercolors to help cope with the side effects of chemo and cancer. With a passion for serving others and her business background, she founded Creations for Cures in March of 2016. Today she leads a team of volunteers, bringing the
healing power of art to children battling cancer and other serious illnesses. Her vision includes bringing their art program to hospitals all over the country, providing job opportunities, and empowering women and people of color, while breaking through the ceiling in the non-profit sector.
