Regardless of whether Shohei Ohtani’s innocent or not this scandal is reminiscent enough of Pete Rose in the 1980s already. It’s a reminder of how betting will always threaten the game integrity. The commissioner’s office can only hope Ohtani is being honest, and the outcome will be different.
