My guest today is Perry Tabak, he has over 30 years experience in police enforcement and is currently serving as a police chief in Summit County.
His vast experience spans several safety forces settings. Here he his graciously willing to discuss mental health opportunities available to first responders in his community and particularly, the Police Department. He talks at length about these innovative opportunities and how these have shown efficacy in supporting not only police enforcement officers but the community at large. He straight talks about the demands of a job that have evolving challenges for maintaining balanced mental health. I am so appreciative of his insightful and informative approach and ideas for globalizing the police officer’s mental health story across communities.
