Welcome to Mammoth Mountain, California, where the snow is deep and the vibes are high As of February 25, the base depth at Main Lodge is a whopping 103 inches, with an estimated 140 inches at McCoy Station and 179 inches at the summit. That's a lot of snow to play with!

In the last 24 hours, there hasn't been any new snowfall, but the mid-winter packed powder and wind buff conditions are still fantastic. The wind-blown sugar on top is the icing on the cake, making every run a delight. All lifts and runs are open, with 23 of 24 lifts spinning, giving you access to over 3,500 skiable acres of terrain.

Currently, the weather is partly cloudy with light snow showers, but don't worry, it's not affecting the skiing. The temperature at the summit is a chilly 23°F, with winds from the SSE at 24 mph, gusting to 30 mph. Down at Main Lodge, it's a bit warmer at 34°F, with winds at the top of Chair 1 out of the NE at 41 to 53 MPH.

Looking ahead to the next 5 days, the forecast is calling for mostly dry weather, with a slight chance of light snow showers around Thursday and Friday. But don't worry, the longer-range guidance is hinting at a more favorable pattern for storminess during the second week of March, which means powder days could return in less than two weeks!

As for piste and off-piste conditions, the mid-winter snowpack is in top shape, with everything from groomers to mid and upper mountain runs skiing as good as it gets. The Unbound Terrain Parks are also open, featuring 10 unique parks, 2 halfpipes, and over 100 jibs and jumps.

The season total snowfall at the Snow Study Site has reached 186 inches, with monthly snowfall totals of 3.5 inches in October, 62 inches in November, 37 inches in December, 9.5 inches in January, and 75 inches in February.
