Colorado Springs Police Department Crime Report for March 1-7, 2025

On March 2, officers responded to a reported burglary in the Old Colorado City neighborhood. The victim stated that an unknown suspect entered their home through an unlocked window and stole several electronic devices. The case remains under investigation.

A string of vehicle break-ins was reported in the Briargate area on March 3. Multiple residents discovered their car windows smashed and valuables missing. Police advise residents to remove valuables from vehicles and keep doors locked. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Officers arrested a 32-year-old male for alleged assault outside a bar in downtown Colorado Springs on March 4. The suspect is accused of striking another patron during an altercation. The victim was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

On March 5, police responded to a robbery at a convenience store near the intersection of Academy Boulevard and Austin Bluffs Parkway. The suspect allegedly brandished a weapon and demanded cash from the register before fleeing on foot. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage.

A residential burglary was reported in the Rockrimmon neighborhood on March 6. The homeowner returned to find their front door forced open and several items missing. Crime scene technicians processed the scene for evidence.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on March 7 near Memorial Park that resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics. The 28-year-old male driver was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute.

Throughout the week, police received multiple reports of package thefts from residential porches across various neighborhoods. Residents are encouraged to track deliveries and retrieve packages promptly when possible.

The Colorado Springs Police Department noted an uptick in catalytic converter thefts, particularly targeting hybrid vehicles. Owners are advised to park in well-lit areas or garages when possible.
