Second is that the need for control creates stress and misery, and stress and misery leads to a greater need for control. And third is, there are three major pathways to changing our thoughts. Dr. Kashey notes that trying new things combined with self-monitoring helps us stay honest and genuine. By actively gathering information your rational thinking will override your previous thoughts.
