The Golden Knights nearly had an epic collapse Thursday night, but they held on for a 7-5 win over the Blackhawks. VGK jumped out to an early 5-1 lead at the end of the first period. But the Blackhawks chipped away to make it a 6-5 game with 9:44 remaining on a Philipp Kurashev goal. Finally, Ivan Barbashev scored an insurance goal to give the VGK a shaky win. Barbashev was playing on a line that included Brett Howden and Keegan Kolesar. Bruce Cassidy said he put together the line because they are all "straight liners" meaning all north-south skaters. The line accounted for nine points (four for Barbashev) and a plus-8 in the game. VGK is next in action Sunday against the Devils. We also have our WTF comments from fans.
