Our guest on Bob Tanem In The Garden with Edie Tanem is Rick Bickling of the Square Foot Gardening Foundation. The Foundation recently published a 4th edition of the Square Foot Gardening book, which originally was Mel Bartholomew's book. Mel -- who was a guest on this program has passed on, but the Foundation he left behind continues to spread the Square Foot Gardening method to a back yard near you.
The Square Foot Gardening technique is a raised bed with specialized soil and a divider marking out the square foot plots. You can read more about it on the Foundations' web site at Square Foot Gardening Dot Org.
