Ahoy & Welcome to our first mix in 2022 and to number 137 since the beginning in 2011. Arturo is not a sailor in the classic sense, more like a traveler who shows up here and there, plays his songs and then just goes on his way. He and Captain https://soundcloud.com/rolandson are very similar in that aspect, which is probably one of the reasons they get along so well. In addition, there is a shared passion for smoking rooftop parties and the never-ending search for one's own self. So it takes years or even decades for a mix to be deemed good enough to be released. What may border on a miracle is actually happening today: a mix by Arturo takes you on a journey ... have fun with our Trip 137 ~ between the sky & the sea!
Arturo:
„Sweet salt on your lips,
You know what i mean.
The sky so dark but bright in between.
Wind blow my soul, i know what i miss,
The sky, the see and your sweet salty kiss."
This short poem and also the mixtape transports a feeling for me that i have ever and ever again, it‘s something in between.
It‘s never exactly the one or the other side.
Even between the sky & the sea there‘s still the horizon.
And that‘s where i find peace.
The set is „subdivided“ in three parts; the trip to the sea, arriving there with stunning sunshine and leaving with thick and dark clouds. Maybe it's also more a trip than seaside.
I hope that you‘ll also find something in the horizon while listening.
Enjoy!
