Today the print has been restored by the `film heritage foundation` and shown at the `cannes classics` section at `festival de cannes` to a rousing reception & a standing ovation. shivendra singh dungarpur from the film heritage foundation , the great naseeruddin shah & the master auteur shyam benegal tell me never before tales of the movies making & restoration. How kaifi azmi wrote the dialogues, vijay tendulkar co wrote the story, prahlad kakkar & kalpana lajmi assisted shyam babu , how govind nihalani on camera & Dr Kurien himself were so solid at every stage of the movie making process🙌 and the magic of smita patil that still endures.
