In Part 2 of our interview with Dr. David Trimbach from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, we discuss his research on salmon as a part of identity and sense of place for Washingtonians, ranging from indigenous ties to salmon that have existed for time in memorial to artistic representations of salmon that dominate our urban landscapes. Finally, and most critical to salmon conservation, we discuss how salmon as identity can help government agencies get folks on board with salmon recovery.
