H.E.A.R.T. is offering a pilot drop-off composting program for county residents. This program will reduce the amount of solid waste in landfills and provide useful materials for landscaping and agriculture. From November 1 – 8 the county will be holding a Pumpkin Composting Kickoff Event at both Henrico County Public Use Areas. Beginning November 9, compostable food waste can be dropped off at these same locations.
