Monument is one of the core topics of the SEFO Triennial. It is an overarching concept to which many of the works exhibited at the show are related. Thanks to them we can begin to think more deeply about the things we are surrounded by in the public space. In today's form of life, where we alternate several activities at once, it is easy to overlook the objects or buildings we pass by every day. They have become a constant but often an empty point on our journey. We talked with a Slovak artist Ilona Németh and an architect Marián Ravasz about how to work with the monuments of the past. Their artworks are also a part of the triennial, both works are placed in the public space of Olomouc and thus raise many questions from passers-by.
