Back in 1999, Daniel Englisch was the very first foreign electronic artist to perform in Chengdu, China, where the people fell in love with his powerful house and techno sets.
Many years later, when Daniel was performing at Amsterdam’s Wooferland festival, he was introduced to Marco Duits by Marc Lankreijer from AMS Bookings. After talking, it became clear that Marco had also been a resident DJ at the very same club as Daniel in Chengdu, be it a couple of years later. They became close friends ever since. In turn, Marco introduced Daniel to three of his superb DJ/producer colleagues and close friends - Mickey Zhang, Temple Rat and MIIIA. They were all invited to Daniel’s Amsterdam studio to hangout and have a few jam sessions, while touring through Europe. And they did. This mini album is the result of those jam sessions.
Daniel and Marco were also given the opportunity to remix One 9 In Sanlitun, a track created by Mickey Zhang and his good friend from Japan; none other than techno legend Ken Ishii.
This album has many flavours, covering downtempo, acid house, deep house, techno, experimental and progressive house.

Coincidentally, just as this album is being released, a new book by Derek Henderson entitled Stolen Amps & Dynamite is just released this Fall 2020. This book includes the complete story of Daniel’s amazing and unforgettable stay in China, next to other amazing, exclusive stories by the world's finest underground artists and originators of acid house, rave, house and techno. Including Carl Cox, Paul Johnson, Jimpster, Billy Nasty, Dr. Motte, Mr C, 808 State, Leftfield, Darren Emerson, Slipmatt, Tyree Cooper and many more. A must read!
