Yet, another emerging element will divert our attention from the warfare we wage: the othering of the saints. More and more, national voices, media pundits, corporate policy, and government regulation are targeting Christians as white nationalists, domestic terrorists, and fascist racists. While persecution began with the first believers, it is relatively new to the West. Will this strengthen our resolve to stand for the truth, or is it a sleight of hand to use misdirection while the coming deception increases?

Though we are troubled on every side, yet we are not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. We can live our lives “always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” May our lives be a testimony through suffering as well as rejoicing, and may our enemies come to repentance through the boldness we have in Christ Jesus.
