“The Greatest Cats in Pop Culture” is our conversation about the feline fictional characters that impacted our lives. The cat has always been a mysterious, charismatic, enigmatic presence in the lives of humans. Earning the love of the small ones or running from the big ones seems to be baked into our DNA. Aslan, Mufasa, Shere Khan, Hobbes, Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, there’s just a bunch of great cat characters. This conversation is silly and by no means comprehensive. Notable omissions, Garfield because he sucks, Heathcliff because our riff about him sucked and I cut it out, and Battlecat because…we forgot. He rocks and that’s our bad. He also forgot MC Skat Kat from Paula Abdul’s hit “Opposites Attract.” But you don’t come to us for dry ass lists of every damn thing you come to us for wit and inventive opinions. This episode was like herding cats and we got some interesting ones back to the ranch pardner. So press play!
