This Week we have combat veteran, national Security and foreign policy expert Asha Castleberry. This unique and courageous black woman has served in Kuwait and Iraq, and is now one of a handful of black women called on to speak about defense policy, national security and veteran affairs. She also writes about how Women veterans can build their civilian life after leaving active service.
Asha is a professor in Fordham University's Political Science Department and a fellow at Foreign Policy Interrupted. She is also a member of the Truman National Security Project's Defense Council. Asha serves on the Board of Advisors of America’s Impact, Veterans 4 Diplomacy, and Women Veterans and Families Network. Asha was was chosen as one the Diplomatic Courier’s Top 99 Under 33 Foreign Policy Leaders.
