It's no secret that comic patrol was built on comics. But there is a large part of our childhood that was raised on the silver screen, with the cartoons we watched and salivated over. Even more are those cartoon images that we saw looong before we understood the content and subject matter it portrayed.

God bless those channels: Showcase and Teletoon as active tools in that coming of age!

It was 1997 when HBO's Spawn hit our screens up north and we were transfixed with the conflicted, tortured, demon assisted hell-spawn as he ran through the streets of New York looking for vengeance.

this show has two amazing things going for it:

1. A motivated Todd McFarlane taking his pet project global with a TV deal

2. A silky, smooth, butter toned, silver throated Keith David to anchor that project as your lead character.

We didn't know what we were seeing at the time, but it is clearly a property that has stuck with us through time.

Buckle in sawftcheezes and numeatz as we pick sides between the ongoing war between heaven and hell.

So turn off the lights... THIS IS SPAWN!
