There are two types of writers: you are either a writer who’s serious about your craft, or you get nothing finished. In today’s episode I talk about a Tik-Tok video I recorded about the 4 secrets to writing a book and how to be successful at that one task.
Here are the four secrets:
SECRET #1: Know what tyou desire to write. What is the message behind your book/writing project?
SECRET #2: What themes are/will be presented in your book. I did this in my book (Divine Providence)[/divine-providence]. Take the time tow rite down your ideas and themes on a legal pad.
SECRET #3: YOu must outline as if your life depended upon it. This is the bone structure of your book Make it count!
SECRET #4: It’s time to write. Don’t edit, don’t stop, just keep writing. Kinda like Dory from “Finding Nemo”. Just keep swimming. Don’t stop for anything. This one thing is the biggest hangup for authors. They like to stop and fix their work as they write. Don’t give into that temptation.
BONUS SECRET: Use a software like ProWritingAid to help you edit and get ready for the next phase of your writing project.
