This week, we are celebrating the digital release of Sonic Forces on Sony’s PlayStation 4. The game was originally released worldwide on November 7, 2017 and two days later in Japan. It was developed after Sonic Lost Worlds and influenced by Sonic Mania, including its plot.
Dr. Eggman is at it again, and he’s tired of losing to Sonic. This time, he creates a creature who calls himself Infinite. Sonic tries to fight Infinite but loses to him and is taken prisoner by Dr. Eggman; Sonic’s absence allows the doctor to conquer most of the planet. Meanwhile, Knuckles forms a resistance movement with an interesting cast of characters, including a survivor of the attack known as The Avatar. Tails, having seen Sonic lose to Infinite, feels discouraged and is about to be attacked until a wormhole opens and Classic Sonic enters the scene, saving Tails. Seeing Classic Sonic renews Tails’ hope and both of them go to save the world.
We’ll be listening to a good heaping of tracks from the game’s soundtrack, along with covers and remixes to follow each one.
Prepare for the run of your life as you race to save Sonic and the planet from Dr. Eggman…
