Abram was blessed by God--of course his life was easy.
Since God first called Abram to step out in faith and go to a foreign land God would show him, Abram's journey of faith has seen many highs and lows as he has learned to trust God and not lean on his own understanding. But after a great spiritual victory leaves Abram with a few more questions than he has answers, God makes Abram a promise that will test whether Abram will listen to his doubts or his God.
This week we begin studying in Genesis 15 and see how the connection between faith and righteousness isn't merely a New Testament reality, but is how God has related to mankind from the beginning. We'll see how Abram was called righteous because of his faith in God's promises and ask ourselves what we are trusting in for our salvation.
