I believe the WAY we talk to our children has a HUGE impact on their lives.
From the tone, the mannerisms, and the way you approach a conversation itself, communicating can truly impact the way a child responds and navigates through life.
In this podcast I go over the ways to communicate with your kiddos and how to build stronger connections. I share my takes on: active listening, getting on their level, balancing authority with connection, navigating conflicts, showing by example, creating safe spaces for conversations, and allowing yourself to be vulnerable as a parent. I also share my personal experiences and examples that I use with my kiddos!
Ultimately, our children are human too. They should be respected, just like anyone else. If we as parents want and expect respect, I personally feel this only works if given, It's gotta be a 2 way street. Im not saying let them run the house but with communication, respect, and the right authority, teaching and growing with your children does not have to be hard.
