In the latest podcast episode, Kim and John discuss an essential yet often misunderstood topic: the two types of judgment that every person will face—The Great White Throne Judgment and The Judgment Seat of Christ.
The Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15)(Daniel 12:1-2) is for non-believers—those who have never put their full trust in Jesus Christ. It’s not enough to simply believe in God’s existence; salvation comes from believing in Jesus and trusting Him as the One who died for our sins (John 3:16). Those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from God—the most devastating consequence of all. We were designed for a relationship with Him, and to be without Him is an existence of unfulfilled purpose, loss, and suffering.
The Judgment Seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:10) is for believers, but it is not about condemnation. Instead, it is a time of reward. Many Christians fear this judgment, but Jesus will not judge His followers for sin—He already paid for that on the cross. Instead, He will evaluate their faithfulness and reward them for how they lived for Him or didn’t live for Him.
