This episode features Herman Wasserman – one of the Conference Theme Co-Chairs of the 2022 ICA Conference. With a panel of guest speakers, Herman critically explores the implications of One World One Network‽ This episode’s guests discuss the world’s frequent overemphasis of the West and how we can shift our focus to other narratives. They touch on the potential of media, from Netflix to digital campaigns to facilitate contra-flows that run counter to the dominant flow from “West to Rest,” while acknowledging that global access to these technologies remains a challenge. They discuss how people are using technology in creative ways that don’t always surface in the dominant media.
