Dr. Saman Amarasinghe leads the Commit compiler group at MIT’s Computer Science & AI Lab (CSAIL). His research focuses on domain-specific languages and high-performance computing. He joins Pete Wright today to lean in on the question of python for performance with a walk down systems memory lane… and insodoing, he’s going to help us address some misconceptions across data engineering and where the state of the art will lead in our efforts toward performance and scalability.
