I was reading Romeo and Juliet's Act 1, Scene 2 with my students and was inspired by a simple soliloquy from a very minor character, a servant. He is portrayed (and referred to as a clown) by Shakespeare as an ignoramus. One of my students said he was stupid, but I had to correct him and discuss the difference between stupidity and ignorance, and why he was kept ignorant on purpose. This episode shares my perspective. Let me know what you think. Enjoy.

Romans 12:2 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
