After completing “Ffion Davies, MBChB, FRCPCH, FRCEM - Managing Major Bleeding in Patients Receiving DOACs: Data, Developments, and Decision-Making in the ED”, participants will be able to: Evaluate current guidance for management of life-threatening bleeding in patients receiving direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs) who present to the emergency department (ED); Assess current evidence from clinical trials and real-world studies related to use of targeted reversal or repletion strategies for life-threatening bleeding in patients receiving DOACs; and Propose management plans for targeted reversal or repletion in individual patients receiving DOACs who present to the ED with major, life-threatening traumatic bleeding, gastrointestinal bleeding, or intracerebral haemorrhage.
