We just couldn't control it. We discuss the next X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix. We start with our spoiler-free impressions, then jump into spoiler territory with what we liked and what we didn't like. Did Simon Kinberg redeem himself in his second attempt at adapting the Dark Phoenix Saga? Is Charles a privileged white dude? Is Magneto mediocre? Are men the worst? All those questions and more are answered.

Then we discuss X-Men as a whole and how it relates to the Civil Rights movement in America. How does the allegory hold up under basic scrutiny? What does the X-Men really accomplish as it relates to social justice?
