It was 2008 when David Cook was beamed into our living rooms ... he won a little song contest called "American Idol" that year. At the top of his success his brother was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and passed away on May 2nd the next year. David, who has recorded seven albums and EPs, has remained a fierce advocate in the fight to beat brain tumors. This year is the Race For Hope's twenty-fifth anniversary. The National Brain Tumor Society has raised tens of millions of dollars to combat brain cancer, David Cook (who serves on their board) and I caught up along the course, we let the fast runners get started and then we set out to Walk A Mile.
