Young Valerie Miller continued learning to fight and survive under the tutelage of her father and his friends, adding in firearm training with Maria. At 10 years old, she began to comprehend the dangers in the world as the adults shared some of their more somber memories and her father reinforced the grave importance of teaching her to defend herself. Valerie tried to assure him that she wouldn’t let him get hurt, but what match is a child against the demons in the dark?
