A few fans got lucky last week, as KROQ in Los Angeles hosted a special advance listening party featuring Mumford & Sons and their new album, 'RUSHMERE.' Inside the Helpful Honda Sound Space, not only did those in attendance get to hear the band's latest offering a week early, they were also treated to an interview with Nicole Alvarez.

Earlier this month, Mumford & Sons returned to the stage for their first headlining show in seven years, playing the iconic Sydney Opera House. "I was feeling a depth of gratitude," Marcus Mumford shared of the now viral picture of himself on stage. "I think we only feel on stage that we get to do this job, and it's been a while since we headlined our own show. We did some festivals last year and we've done some warm up shows. This one was the first like proper venue, and we went a very long way."

"There was a bunch of people that thought it was a very bad idea for us to go a very long way, but things really internationally started for us in Australia."

The band also weighed in the emotions behind some of their songs, the meaning of the title 'RUSHMERE,' and took some "spicy" fan questions from the crowd.

Don't miss the full conversation above. 'RUSHMERE' is available everywhere on March 28.
