Following the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD Pompeii was devastated by an intense burst of intense heat, smoke and ash, leaving many of the thousands of people killed preserved in their final positions. Cue much sniggering when one man was discovered in the position of apparently pleasuring himself.
