Any student of Scripture - whether a scholar, minister, or layperson - is like a craftsman with his or her tools. Have you ever walked into the workshop of a craftsman (an artist, carpenter, mechanic, or musician) and wondered, "what do all these tools or instruments do"? In this workshop, we will practice how to read Scripture with "tools" that engage the head, heart, and hands. We will engage historical and literary questions, and we will learn how to read the Bible as an act of worship, with the posture of faith seeking understanding. Learning how to study the Bible as the word of God will establish a great foundation for whatever vocation you may be called to.
